Happy Presidents Day
I've written about presidential pets before and now gathered some stories together for this year's Presidents Day. The full story is in today's Cleveland Plain Dealer. It's mostly about presidents and their dogs.
I couldnt trust a person (not that they have much of mine anyway)that didnt care for animals at all. I didnt know about some of the presidential pets so this was pretty nifty. Sad, not a bunny in the bunch.
So cute! I think the Presidents owning animals kind of humanizes them more (if that makes any sense) and shows that underneath all the politics, they really are just loving (I would hope) pet owners. :)
fun. where would we be without our animals? I remember the Clinton's Socks and Buddy, and the Bush's Barney and Miss Beazley, and I know the Obama's Portuguese water dog but cannot for the life of me think of his name. :(
All those animals & not even one fishducky.............
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun article. I really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteOften the pets are so much more interesting than their owners;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for the dog.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to know these American Presidents are animal lovers. :)
ReplyDeleteYour mind must be so very sharp to have so much information coupled with the humor. You must love research.
ReplyDeleteI got at least 6 good laughs and several chuckles out of that one! and by the way...thanks for your lovely comment re:my dad.....kt
