All the Presidents' Pets

Once more, with Presidents' Day this week, it's time to reflect on the many fine inhabitants of the White House .... the presidential pets, that is. The story, with it's many edited versions by editors, has appeared in Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Biloxi Sun-Herald, the Rock River Times, Tampa Bays CBS 10 News site, the Tallahassee Democrat, and the most unedited versions in the News-Sentinel and  Examiner-Enterprise and the Ellsworth American (the most unedited in all its tongue-in-cheek glory).

  8. I couldnt trust a person (not that they have much of mine anyway)that didnt care for animals at all. I didnt know about some of the presidential pets so this was pretty nifty. Sad, not a bunny in the bunch.

  9. So cute! I think the Presidents owning animals kind of humanizes them more (if that makes any sense) and shows that underneath all the politics, they really are just loving (I would hope) pet owners. :)

  10. The presidential pets are often in the news. I couldn't even tell you if our Canadian Prime Minister has a pet.

  11. fun. where would we be without our animals? I remember the Clinton's Socks and Buddy, and the Bush's Barney and Miss Beazley, and I know the Obama's Portuguese water dog but cannot for the life of me think of his name. :(
