Trans-Siberian Orchestra

While the circumstances behind the composition of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon and Gigue in D remain vague to music historians, the 17th-century German composer would have been delighted to know that, three centuries later, the Canon had become a beloved piece of classical music.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Christmas Canon Rock" is based on the music - wonder what old Pac would think of that? - and they are currently in the final weeks of their 2018 US Christmas tour. Jennifer Cella did THE best version of the CCR when she sang with TSO in the early 2000s. She shares some memories of playing with TSO right here.
