Anyone remember the Dick Van Dyke Show? I recently talked with Rose Marie, who played Sally Rogers, and Dick Van Dyke. Rosie celebrates her 91st birthday in August. What an amazing career beginning as 3 year old Baby Rose Marie - a child singer with an incredible voice. Check out YouTube for videos of her singing. She attracted the attention of presidents and notorious gangsters (not that the two are necessarily different) who all wanted her to perform for them. But mostly we remember her comedic talents from the Dick Van Dyke Show. There's a reason we call entertainers like Rose Marie legends! Full story and interview here.

I love that show. The classics are still good.

I loved her - that was my mom's name too. Good memories. Happy Birthday to her. sandie
That was a fun show and she always got a big share of the laughs. That name Rose Marie now has the song "Rose Marie" going through my head and will stick there all day. My neighbors will want to put out "for sale" signs as I'll be outside working and singing all day. Ha
I loved the show and can't believe that Rose Marie is that old. Where have the years gone?
Anyone who grew up in that time loved the DVD show. Very cool interview. I'm glad that she's still going strong.
She was one of my favorite characters form one of my favorite shows!!
I used to watch re-runs of it growing up :)
She was an integral part of a cast that has brought laughs and delight to millions of people for many years. Bless her.
Loved the Dick Vandyke show. There was strong character portrayal in each of the cast members. That was true entertainment as opposed to the rubbish that's on now. Happy Birthday, Rose Marie. You made us all laugh.
Looking forward to your next post and I hope all is well :)
