Recognize this guy?

Are you old enough to recognize this guy?  So did he steal milk from your front doorstep, too?

:-) This reminds me of when I was little - if I happened to be looking for my Mum and I asked my Dad 'where's Mum?' he'd always say 'she's run off with the milkman!'. I always thought that was so funny! Especially because we didn't even have a milkman. :-)

I grew up in Chicago and surrounding suburbs in the 70s and 80s, so we didn't have a milkman. However, my husband, who grew up in a small town did have one!

When I was really really little, we had a milkman and a little tin Cloverland box by our front door for deliveries.

We had a "Milk Man" who delivered milk to us in plastic jugs when my husband and I were first married. The milkman drove a boxy milk truck just like delivered to the grocery stores. We were big milk drinkers back then... LOL! But that was before my husband found out that dairy products were causing him colitis!

LOL! Nope, we never had a milk man. Tho our mailman was always drunk.

Absolutely! When I was little (50s gasp!) we had a milkman. I remember his feeding me oatmeal before I had to go get my tonsils out -- that was the only way I would eat it! He would put the milk on the back steps and take the glass bottles left for recycling with him.

The milkman...wow...almost forgot about him and those real glass bottles, not plastic gallon jugs.

Anyone remember the Charlie Chip man?

I remember when I was small the milk man would come to my grandma's. We lived to far out for him to come to our house.

not personally, but i do recognize his function. My Mom said her Mom would pour off the cream from the top of the milk that was delivered to them in St. Louis so she could use it in her coffee.

Haha! He does appear to be stealing that milk! Yes, we had a milkman when I was young.

I'd seen him on Tv, but he never dropped by. Had he delivered chocolate milk, I'd have run off with him.

PS Thanks for dropping by Life by Chocolate.

Yes I do remember the milkman! He delivered more than just milk...we could get butter, and ice cream too. When I was a child my brothers and I got an ice cream from the milkman every day for a week...then our grandma got the bill and that ended our daily treat.

M mum left home when I was seven and three years later had a baby boy with the same blonde hair and blue eyes as their local milkman.

Used to have one, with the metal box to keep it cold. Love your reverse of what the mailman is doing!
