Amazing Drug Bust - According to Yahoo

I love this Yahoo headline error from this morning. Glad I snapped a photo of it before they took it down. Not surprisingly, the commenters where giving Yahoo a hard time about their lack of editing skills. Some were even doing all sorts of calculations to figure out how many suitcases you would need to carry 1.3 million tons of cocaine, and what the street value would be. I think it was larger than the GNP.

I guess I'd better get more suitcases.

Reminds me of my days as a low-level drug dealer (mostly pot, mostly in the 70's) and the reading of daily headlines detailing this or that bust. My friends and I would always consider the amount seized, break it down mathematically, and wonder at the fact that the cops had nabbed enough to dry up the entire city, BUT there was still plenty out there and rarely was supply affected. In addition, the valuation was always inflated and we would think, "We must be doing something wrong. We could retire at the prices the cops are getting."

That would take one powerful airplane!
